I’m only starting out, so nothing is published yet. I’ll update this as I go, but here are the things I’m working on in the Infinite Empire universe:
Book One: Tomb of the Last God
Fantasy
Sixteen-hundred years after Cleopatra defeated the Roman Empire, the matriarchal and pagan Free Nations of Alexandria are locked in a cold war with the Norsemen.
But the real war is waged in secret magical skirmishes between the Free Nation’s clandestine Section-7 and the Valkyrie of the Norsemen. Squads of magical agents scour the world for clues and relics that will give them the advantage they need to win this war. In the spring of 1634 AE, Section-7 enrolls a new class of recruits to become secret agents and learn the lost art of magic – a type of music that manipulates the fundamental vibrations of the universe.
Book Two: The Tyro Thief
Fantasy
The key to unlocking the magical power source buried beneath the ancient monument of Teotihuacan in Aquilanova has been stolen by the Countess of Lennox, Margaret Douglas. She plans to crown herself Queen and secede from The Danelaw, forming a united kingdom of England and Scotland with the power of the magical relics she has amassed.
Pippa Winters approaches Section-7 with a plan to stop the Countess: a heist to steal the relics on the night of her planned coronation.
Book X: A Curse of Song and Storm
YA, LGBT, Fantasy
A gift from the gods that lets music control a special type of magic.
A relic of untold ancient magical power that must be found before a murderous clan of mercenaries can steal it for themselves.
A clan leader with a blasphemous story about the true cause of the Cataclysm that challenges everything they thought they knew about how the world ended two centuries ago.
Oh, and on top of all of that, Rex has to deal with this frankly confusing attraction to Finn, the cute boy who is always a jerk to him for some reason. It’s honestly been a bit of wild week of new discoveries for Rex, but he’s doing just fine, thank you, this is hardly the time to analyze all of that, honestly, there’s a giant magical rock monster attacking, maybe that should be the focus right now.
Short Story: Bohemian Rhapsody
Pippa Winters sat down and slid a napkin – scrawled with a hastily written “RUN” – across the delicate cafe table. In an instant, Cora Rodinou knew she was already dead.
Cora was a trained agent of Section-7, on deep cover assignment for the past three years, and there was no need to control her reaction; anyone glancing at the small table would see old friends smiling and catching up with each other. But Pippa’s presence here was unexpected, and it meant Cora’s cover was blown.
Short Story: Happy Endings, Fairy Princes, and Other Skullduggeries
He was supposed to be sipping a fruity drink over on Ipanema beach and ogling the tourists and locals as they sunned on the blinding white sand. He was supposed to be basking in the brilliance of his escape from real life on this little adventure to his father’s homeland. He was supposed to be keeping a low profile and making sure his mother didn’t find out where he was.
But no. His cab driver had to go and accidentally deliver him to Copacabana beach and into the hands of the Pindokesé – the separatist group currently holding him and a few dozen beach-goers hostage. His luck had clearly run out, which meant it was only a matter of time before they found out he was Nicodemus Soteira, one of the Crown Princes of Alexandria.
Awesome. Wow.
